Tung Ho Textile participated in a series of textile exhibition, from the Première Vision held at Paris Nord Villepinte from September 17 to September 19 (Booth No: HALL 6 6G59), to the YarnExpo held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from September 25 to September 27 (Booth Number: 8.2E44) to present its natural stretchable, anti-pilling, and eco-friendly functional yarns, which have brought a new wave of functional spun yarns.

Tung Ho Textile has focused on the development and production of high-quality spun yarns ever since its establishment 66 years ago. Positioned as a “Multilateral Functional Spun Yarn Expert” in the market, Tung Ho continued to broaden its production lines of special functional yarns. It has established 15 production lines so far and can quickly respond to satisfy the needs of the customers in small quantity and great variety product development.

Tung Ho established a R&D center in 2019 aimed at upgrading the pilling grade of spun yarn and the development of new materials and optimization of milling technology towards the direction of composite blended fibers, ultra-fine high-count fiber, and eco-friendly yarns. A photovoltaic power generator and energy saving system was installed at Maodou Plant that can generate 2.7 MwH of electricity per year and helps to reduce carbon emission by 1,384 tons. The plant has been accredited by Control Union, Organic Content Standard (OCS), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Global Recycle Standard (GRS), and Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) in environmental protection.

Notwithstanding of the rising uncertainty of the global environment, Tung Ho Textile never ceases to invest in research and development. With the persistence of the management team and the R&D team, the Company established the R&D center in 2019 irrespective of economic adversity and focused on market needs in “Anti-pilling”, “ultra-fine high-count”, and “eco-friendly” products to develop the optimal milling technology and yarn structure. To enhance competitiveness, Tung Ho introduced a small single spindle management system to monitor yarn quality and loss. This system helps to reduce breaking of yarn, control the tensile strength, and reduce loss, which eventually contributed to stabilizing product quality and saving energy. This system is matched with the use of the IBM smart air-conditioning system to keep the temperature and humidity at stable level and help to reduce energy consumption. With these systems, the plant can save power consumption by more than 50%.

For a long time, the Company has been on good terms with renowned fiber makers in Europe and Japan such as Toyobo, Toray, Lenzing, and Smartfiber, and successfully introduced a wide array of innovative and functional fibers as well as advanced spinning technology such as Siro, Compact, Siro-Fuse, and Siro-Slub. Tung Ho Textile carries five major product series, namely, “general CVC”, “drirelease”, “composite function”, “siro”, and “eco-friendly”, of which “drirelease”, “composite function”, “Siro”, and “eco-friendly” will be the base of development in the future.

Drirelease Series – A perfect mingling of moisture wicking and fast drying to allow the fiber to absorb moisture, performance of permeability, and odor control.

Composite Function Series – Tung Ho carries a wide array of functional fiber, including moisture wicking, temperature regulating, antibacterial and odor removal, skin-friendly and moisturizing, and excellent hand feel. Tung Ho can help the customers to design functional fibers with superb hand feel.

Siro Series – Tung Ho introduced advanced spinning technology and equipment from Germany, including Siro-Compact, Siro-Fuse, and Siro-Slub, which can help to make yarn with unique features like low hairiness and soft hand feel and outstanding fabric surface effect. Tung Ho creates higher value for customers.

Eco-friendly – Tung Ho introduced biodegradable, environmentally-friendly, botanical, and regenerated materials for customers in their choices of environmentally-friendly products. Tung Ho has been accredited by Control Union, OCS, GOTS, GRS, and RWS for the entire factory, and is a qualified supplier of eco-friendly textile products.
